Balloons can be very harmful to the environment. That is why I strongly believe in using biodegradable balloons. I also do not make or sell balloons for release. As these inevitably come down and can pose a real risk to both wildlife and nature and need to be disposed of in the correct manner.
The natural product that is used in making balloons is extracted from the sap of rubber trees. Rubber trees combat greenhouse gases, slowing global warming and latex harvesting helps prevent deforestation.
I have found that Qualatex balloons are the best balloons available on the market and are mindful of the environment. Their balloons are 100% biodegradable and break down at the same rate as an oak leaf.
I also on occasion use Sempertex balloons, which are also 100% biodegradable. Producing balloons from transforming the rubber tree sap and preserving its natural conditions.
I kindly ask that our balloons are disposed of in the correct manner and are not let go in to the environment.
